RIP, Te Ata-i-rangi Kaahu

Moe mai ra (Rest In Peace), Te Arikinui, Dame Te Atairangikahu, paramount chief of the Tainui confederation of tribes, has died aged 75. Her reign as Waikato Queen spanning four decades, mark her as the most durable monarch in Maori history. NZPA has further biographical details.
