JH sticks to his guns

I told you not to mess with him...
...now you've just made him angry!

A bit of a Johnny lovefest going on at my place. Thanks, fm, for this lovely photo.

1. Mr Howard, on his first Irish state visit, lauds the newly formed Iraqi govt, pledges support for new prime minister Nuri al-Maliki, and reaffirms Oz's commitment to the war, saying "the new government will not change any decision on Coalition troop withdrawal."

2. Elsewhere in the "We Luff Johnny" files, foreign minister, Alex Downer, scotches those rumours about our buddy retiring this year. Sorry, Mr Costello, you'll just have to wait a bit longer.

3. Also, the PM's previous remarks about Ozzy nuclear energy has raised the ire of Greenpeace NZ (hehe). The exec director, Bunny McDiarmid (how are you supposed to take anyone seriously with a name like "Bunny"?), predictably chokes on her muesli:

"NZ has to encourage Australians down other paths as nuclear power is simply a disaster"
How about you mind your own business. Jeepers, some people are really PUSHY, trying to poke their noses into other nations' affairs. Two words for you, Bunny: National Sovereignty. Good on JH for upsetting the eco-wackjobs!
