cowards

Enough about those dayum cartoons!
Yeah, I'm sick of all the talk, too. But couldn't resist Charles Krauthammer outing so-called "moderate" muslims for their hypocrisy & subterfuge over outraged response to cartoons. Notice
they only want voices against Islam muzzled & content to blaspheme other religions. The Moderates are in cahoots with the terrorists, both wanting Sharia imposed on the West. One group uses bombs, the other guilt trips us over multiculti sensitivities, giving just enough PC rope too hang ourselves. The end result the same; a world where none dare criticise islam.

Brutally, Krauthammer nails timid Western editors for decision not to print cartoons, the ugly truth beneath the blather about 'principles' & 'taste':
"The unspoken reason many newspapers do not want to republish is not sensitivity but simple fear. They know what happened to Theo van Gogh, who made a film about the Islamic treatment of women & got a knife through the chest with an Islamist manifesto attached"
Too right! The chickens who run our newsrooms are petrified of Islamic retaliation, knowing full well how irrational & devoutly murderous the Religion of Peace really is.

mistaken identity?
TCS
cheekily enquires: "How do we know the cartoons do, in fact, depict Mohammed?" Islamic proscriptions against idolatory mean few authentic images of the prophet were, if ever, reliably recorded by artists of the time. None (in the public domain, at least) have survived to modernity:
"Muhammad lived long before the invention of photography, & there are no likenesses of him by contemporaries. In other words, no one knows what he looked like."
Good point! Has all the rioting been in vain? More interesting, is the reaction viewed against backdrop of rise in 'grievance culture'. In our victimised PC new world, by 'choosing' to be insulted & publically declaring "offense," one assunmes virtue & entitlement to special protections. By prostrating ourselves to islamic 'offence' we not only cede moral highground, but risk emboldening religious fanatics (who'll always find Western Civ 'offensive') to use umbrage as justification for all manner of terrorist acts. I couldn't care less how offended they are. Stuff you, Achmed! Get over yourself!
